Hi! I’m Mickala.
Hey there, My name is Mickala Van Dop. I was raised in the small town of Sparta, MI and moved over to the lakeshore when my family purchased a farm. Through the years leading up to the farm I have performed in a number of careers; construction, health care, automotive, aviation as well as farming.
My entrepreneurial spirit has evolved through the years and has brought me into many arenas to allow me to grow and cultivate my skills. Wit and Grit Flower’s sprung up when trying to determine how I can bring my own sense of customer service to people. I love working with others and brightening one’s day. What is better then fresh flowers?!?
However, flowers is not all that I aspire to be involved in. I enjoy wrenching on my jeep and hitting the trails, endurance events, reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Through the growth of the farm I hope to not just provide flowers for others; for me it’s about community and getting to know others and listening to their story. What others have experienced to bring them to their present.

The farm
The family property has become a sort of healing grounds for me. The journey of clearing the land and prepping the soil through sweat equity has brought my focus through a much more clearer lens. You must know where you are, to know where you are going.
